Jersey Standard’s own site code does not add analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies, and it does not save enquiry details in your browser. The Cloudflare Turnstile spam check is described below. Fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties.

The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical request information, such as your IP address and the pages requested, in order to serve and protect the site.

Sending an enquiry online

When you choose Send enquiry on the “Discuss your property” page, the details you entered (property town, property type, approximate units, the service you are interested in, your name, your reply email, and any phone number or note you added) are sent to this website’s server, which runs on Cloudflare.

The server processes those details transiently: it checks them, confirms the spam check, and asks Cloudflare’s email service to accept them for delivery as one email addressed to [email protected]. That inbox is provided by Proton. Your email address is set as the reply address so that we can answer you. The website does not keep its own copy of your enquiry in a database or file, and it does not send you an automatic reply.

The reference shown after sending confirms only that the email service accepted the enquiry for delivery. It does not confirm that the message has reached the inbox or been read.

Spam protection

The review step uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that an enquiry is not automated. Turnstile loads from Cloudflare only on that step and processes information from your browser and device, including your IP address, under Cloudflare’s own terms and privacy policy. The website’s server confirms the result with Cloudflare before sending.

To limit repeated attempts, Cloudflare’s rate-limiting service uses a hashed form of the requesting IP address as a rate-limit key. This is an abuse-control measure; it does not make the address anonymous.

Where your enquiry is handled

Cloudflare (hosting, spam protection, rate limiting and email sending) and Proton (the recipient inbox) handle your enquiry under their own terms and practices. Once the email is in our inbox it is held there.

Using your own email instead

You can also email [email protected] directly, or, if online sending is unavailable, open an email draft from the form. An email draft is only sent if you send it from your own email app, and it is then handled by normal email providers, including your own and the recipient’s.

Keep sensitive information out of the enquiry

Please do not include tenant or resident information, account credentials, identification documents or sensitive financial information. A property town and a short description of the support you are considering are enough to begin.
